This project at Sheridan College was focused on the development and construction of an Energy Lab with 4 different energy sources: solar photovoltaic and thermal, fuel cell, wind turbine, and micro hydro. In addition the System has a battery storage unit and an Energy Management System (EMS) in charge of monitoring, controlling and logging data.
There are also 3 different loads that are monitored in order to control the balance between generation and consumption within a “virtual grid”. These loads include Tim Horton, the College Energy Lab and a Pumping Station.
Come out and see our innovative Renewable Energy Lab for Green Energy Doors Open!
